Meet Our Pastor
THE VISIONARY
Rev. Chad J. Cooper
Rev. Dr. Chad J. Cooper serves as the 10th Pastor of the historic Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where he was ordained and installed in March 2024.
A native of Baker, Louisiana, Rev. Dr. Cooper is passionate about faithfully teaching God's Word and helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
He holds degrees from Louisiana State University, Southeastern Louisiana University, and St. John Bible Institute, combining academic excellence with strong biblical training.
Before becoming pastor, he faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher, junior deacon, and deacon before answering God's call to preach in 2012.
His ministry is centered on biblical preaching, Christian education, servant leadership, and community outreach.
Guided by Micah 6:8, Rev. Dr. Cooper strives to lead with humility, justice, mercy, and the love of Christ.
