Rev. Chad J. Cooper is the son of Mrs. Clara W. Cooper and the late Deacon James L. Cooper. He is the youngest of five siblings and is the proud father of one son. He was born in Baker, LA, educated and graduated from Baker High School. He furthered his educational pursuits, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Criminology from Louisiana State University and his Master of Science Degree in Applied Sociology from Southeastern Louisiana University. After serving as a Sunday school teacher, junior deacon and deacon, Rev. Cooper accepted the call to preach in December 2012 and was licensed in February 2013. Pastor Cooper received his Bachelor and Master of Theology from St. John Bible Institute. The Lord blessed the life of Rev. Cooper when he received the call from the historic Pleasant Grove Baptist Church to serve as the 10th pastor in the church’s 168 years.
